I've always despised those inspirational sayings such as

"live everyday like it's you last"

"seize the day"

"live life to the fullest"

Are they not intensely subjective?

They mean all sorts of things to all sorts of people.

I ran through these ideas today in the portion of class where we discuss various theological view points.

It clicked. If you are convinced there is a "best" way to live, you should chase it.

When you honestly believe things with the depth of your being, you should give yourself to them. It's a matter of being integral. It's about not selling yourself short, it's about having no deviation.

It's not a dampener of questioning and being inquisitive to the realities of life.

You may be wrong, you be trite, you be bourgeois in your thinking.

Even still, you should keep the course.

I have yet to find something as disheartening as one's giving up of their dreams. The belief that life should for one be what they think, and incongruent actions.
